CAFE is calling for football fans from Amsterdam, Budapest and Copenhagen to get involved in the largest UEFA European Championships ever and apply to become an audio-descriptive commentator for the tournament!

UEFA EURO 2020 kicks off on 12 June, with games played in twelve different countries across Europe.

CAFE is working with UEFA to ensure that disabled fans can enjoy an inclusive, welcoming and accessible experience at the EUROs, and will be providing audio-descriptive commentary in at least two languages at every match.

Training for audio-descriptive commentators is already underway, and we will soon be hosting training seminars in Amsterdam, Budapest and Copenhagen.

If you love football and want to get involved in UEFA EURO 2020, we encourage you to get involved today!

Trainees will be required to attend a two-day training seminar in their host city, and be available in the city for the duration of UEFA EURO 2020.

No prior experience of commentary is required. Training and the service at UEFA EURO 2020 will be delivered in the local language (Dutch in Amsterdam, Hungarian in Budapest and Danish in Copenhagen). No level of English is required.

We also hope to announce plans for an audio-descriptive commentary training seminar to take place in Rome in the near future.

After the seminar has taken place, trainees will be given a series of short tasks to complete at home to further develop their commentary skills. Two trainees in each host city will then be selected to commentate at all UEFA EURO 2020 matches played in the city.
