As a successful applicant of the CAFE Week of Action small grants programme, NGO Invatur took part in a number of activities in celebration of #TotalAccess with the full support of Russian National League side Nizhny Novgorod Football Club.

On Wednesday 10 March, for their home fixture against FK "FAKEL", Nizhny Novgorod worked alongside local NGO Invatur to provide free tickets and transport for disabled fans to attend the game.

Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 restrictions the disabled fans in attendance were unable to walk out onto the pitch alongside the players, but they were nonetheless treated to some CAFE Week of Action themed souvenirs.

The CAFE Week of Action logo and mascot, Max Access, were displayed proudly on the stadium's big screen during the fixture.

Invatur is a partner of national association Perspektiva and works alongisde several other local NGOs to improve access to education and raise awareness around disability in the region.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to Ivan, Invatur and everyone at Nizhny Novgorod FC for their support during the CAFE Week of Action 2021, and their continued efforts to improve the experiences of all disabled fans.

The CAFE Week of Action small grants programme offers funding to disabled supporters and DSAs to participate in the CAFE Week of Action. Grants of up to €250 were available, subject to a successful application to CAFE. A similar programme will be made available ahead of the CAFE Week of Action 2022.

The CAFE Week of Action 2021 summary report will be published in due course, with information for the 2022 campaign to be published later in the year.
