Joanna Deagle

Joanna Deagle

Managing Director, Company Secretary and Trustee


Joanna joined CAFE in November 2014 as our Fan Liaison and Development Manager, and was named as Managing Director in November 2016.


She is fluent in French and Portuguese and graduated with a masters degree at the King’s College London Brazil Institute. Joanna has skills in project coordination, working with French and Portuguese clients and also brings knowledge from having worked and volunteered for a number of organisations such as Emmaüs France, and their partner organisation in Burkina Faso, with the Brazilian Paralympic Team and with ReachOut in London.

Michael Rice

Mike Rice

Media and Communications Manager


Mike joined the CAFE team after graduating, with honours, with a Law degree from the University of Liverpool. Originally, Mike shared his time between CAFE and our sister organisation Level Playing Field, where he worked as Development Administrator. Mike has previously worked as a Data Analyst for Everton Football Club’s Academy, where he was able to gain a real understanding of working in a football environment and the behind-the-scenes work of an English Premier League club. Mike has spent time working in the Liverpool Law Clinic, acting as an advisor to clients with legal concerns. Furthermore, Mike has also been an elected Trustee of Level Playing Field.


As CAFE’s Media and Communications Manager, Mike is based in our UK offices and is responsible for CAFE social media and communications. Mike also maintains the CAFE website, collates articles for the newsletters and works closely with the rest of the team.

Jochen Kemmer

Jochen Kemmer

DAO Project Manager


Jochen joined the CAFE team in July 2017 as our new DAO Project Manager.


Jochen joins the team having gained experience working for the International University Sports Federation, the International Motorcycling Federation and volunteering on various Special Olympics events.


Jochen is a native German speaker and fluent in English, French and Spanish. He is based in Barcelona and supports CAFE’s works around the Disability Access Officer (DAO) project.

Esther Jones Russell

Global Project Coordinator


Esther is our Global Project Coordinator, after having originally joined the CAFE team in February 2017 as our Eastern European Development Officer.


Esther is fluent in Russian and Czech, and graduated from the University of Bristol with a degree in both languages. She is a passionate football fan, and is both a player and club committee member.


Esther has experience working with international clients, and has previously worked for an inclusion NGO based in the Czech Republic. She also has experience working at major international sporting events, including the 2014 Winter Olympics.

Amy Wilson

Amy Wilson

Fans Liaison, Access and Administration Officer


Amy joined the team in February 2016 after previously being a member of the CAFE Advisory Group.


Amy is a disabled football fan, and has been attending home and away matches for over 20 years.


Amy has many experiences to share of attending live matches as a disabled fan, and has travelled across Europe to watch live matches on a number of occasions. In addition to her user-led knowledge as a football fan, Amy is also an experienced administrator.

Ana Holmes

Media and Communications Intern


Ana joined the team at CAFE in March 2019 as Media and Communications Intern. She is a recent History graduate from the University of Bristol, and is a passionate football player and fan.


Having previously gained experience working in media and communications at a start-up, Ana will be supporting Michael, CAFE’s Media and Communications Manager, in developing CAFE’s social media networks, website and news stories.
