Brazilian defender Rodrigo Moledo recently donated a bronze medal to one very happy disabled fan.

Moledo received the medal as part of the Metalist Kharkiv squad, which finished third in this season’s Ukrainian Premier League.

At a ceremony at the stadium, Moledo approached a disabled fan in attendance and presented him with his medal.

CAFE Head of Development in Eastern Europe Elena Karpukhina said, “This is a fantastic and very powerful gesture. It is always great to see disabled fans having the chance to meet their heroes, and Rodrigo has created a wonderful memory for one fan that will last a lifetime”.

Metalist Kharkiv play their home matches at the Metalist Stadium, which hosted three matches during UEFA EURO 2012. CAFE delivered the hugely-successful UEFA Respect Inclusion – Football with No Limits project at the tournament, and retains a strong presence in the country in legacy of this.
