The CAFE Week of Action has been marked in Moldova for the first time, with the Moldovan Football Federation (FMF) leading the celebrations.

Using the occasion of the Moldovan Super Cup on 10 March 2019, the FMF arranged a pre-match ceremony to promote the message of Total Football #TotalAccess.

Disabled fans were invited to attend the showcase match and welcomed onto the pitch ahead of kick-off. A CAFE Week of Action banner, bearing the FMF logo, was held aloft as players from Sheriff Tiraspol and Milsami Orhei joined the ceremony.

A young disabled fan was also invited to kick off the match, which finished 0-0 and was followed by a penalty shootout. Milsami, the reigning Moldovan Cup winners, won the Super Cup by beating champions Sheriff 5-4 on penalties.

The FMF also created a video to celebrate the CAFE Week of Action, which can be viewed below or externally here.

Joining the CAFE Week of Action is another important step for the FMF and Moldovan football, and further projects and initiatives are planned to improve access and inclusion through the beautiful game.

One such action is the planned launch of a Moldovan national team disabled supporters association (DSA). In much the same way as at a club, the national team DSA will further empower many disabled fans who follow the Moldova side.

We are delighted to be celebrating Total Football #TotalAccess in Moldova and we look forward to many more great stories to come.
