The CAFE Week of Action has been celebrated in Russia for the first time, with the message of Total Football Total Access displayed at Russia’s friendly against Belgium earlier this week.

The match was played at Olimpiyskiy Stadion Fisht in Sochi. A last-minute goal from Russian forward Alexander Bukharov meant that the match finished in a thrilling 3-3 draw.

A CAFE Week of Action banner was displayed in the stadium, as fans came together to celebrate Total Football Total Access. The banner was placed in front of one of the accessible viewing areas inside the stadium.

The CAFE Week of Action is an annual celebration of access and inclusion, and the important role that disabled people can play across all levels of football. This season a total of 20 countries celebrated Total Football Total Access, including some joining the CAFE Week of Action for the first time.

CAFE is delighted to celebrate Total Football Total Access in Russia for the first time, and we look forward to more great initiatives in promoting wider access and inclusion.
