CAFE Managing Director Joyce Cook, Projects and Fan Liaison Manager Mike Rice, and Development Administrator of our sister charity Level Playing Field Rachel Nickless, recently met with Morgan Parry and his father Stephen.

Morgan is a young disabled Bolton Wanderers supporter, and attends Turton High School in Bolton. He attends all Bolton Wanderers matches, home and away, and is now a member of the Bolton Wanderers FC Disabled Supporters Working Group.

Morgan and Stephen travelled to the CAFE head office to find out more about us and our sister charity, Level Playing Field, and to share some of their experiences with us.

Amongst a number of topics discussed, Morgan has agreed to send roving reports of his trips to CAFE and Level Playing Field, and will stay in regular contact with both charities going forwards.

Joyce said, “It was a pleasure to meet with Morgan and his father recently. We had a great discussion about matchday experiences of disabled fans, as well as some of the recent technological advances that have made society more inclusive for many disabled people. Morgan will soon be leaving school, and is hoping to work in football in the future. CAFE and LPF have offered to signpost Morgan to any career opportunities that there may be within football in the future”.

Morgan said, “I am looking forward to reporting on my visits and sharing these with CAFE and Level Playing Field”.

We would like to thank both Morgan and Stephen for coming to meet us, and hope to stay in regular contact in the future.
