CAFE Directors Kush Kanodia and Tony Taylor have been named in this year's Power 100 list, celebrating the most influential disabled people in the United Kingdom.

The list, compiled by Shaw Trust, highlights the works and achievements of disabled people across a number of sectors. Each year, Shaw Trust publishes a new list and interviews with some of those featured.

Both Kush and Tony have been honoured for their works in promoting an accessible and inclusive society through the unique power of football, with Kush named as one of the top ten most influential disabled people in 2019.

Kush is a co-founder of the global diversity NGO Choice International, and has recently been appointed as an Ambassador for Disability Rights UK. Last year, he was named as one of the 10 most influential BAME leaders in technology by the UK Parliament.

Tony is the Chair of Level Playing Field, and also works with media, government departments, and NGOs such as the Equality and Human Rights Commission. He runs an independent management consultancy and is an expert in sales, marketing, operational management, leadership and corporate governance.

CAFE Managing Director Joanna Deagle said, "On behalf of the CAFE Board of Directors and the CAFE team, we would like to say a huge congratulations to Kush and Tony on this recognition. Both have worked to improve the experiences of disabled sports fans in the UK and across Europe for a number of years, and are fully deserving of such an honour. We are proud to continue to work with both towards our shared goal of Total Football #TotalAccess".

"Everyone named in the list should be applauded for their works to improve access and inclusion for all, and we would like to extend our congratulations to a number of friends and colleagues who have supported CAFE and our works over the years who have been included. This includes Suzanne Bull, Martyn Sibley and Tom Jamison, who have all played an important role in ensuring that disabled people can take their rightful places within the wider society", added Joanna.

Speaking to Level Playing Field, Tony said, "It’s an honour to be named on the Shaw Trust Power List 2019 as one of Britain’s most influential disabled people, in the company of some of the country’s most influential names that are making positive movements as we all tackle discrimination".
