As part of the Federação Portuguesa de Futebol commitment to access and inclusion, they, in conjunction with CAFE, have launched a survey of disabled football fans in Portugal during the CAFE Week of Action 2021.

To further understand the experiences of disabled football fans in Portugal, the FPF and CAFE are pleased to announce the launch of a nationwide survey as part of wider research project.

CAFE believes that live sport provides life-changing experiences, and everyone should have equal access to them. Our vision is a world where disabled people are a key part of the global sporting landscape, as fans, employees, volunteers and leaders, ensuring everyone has equal opportunities to contribute in an accessible, inclusive and welcoming environment.

Both the FPF and CAFE are inviting disabled people from across Portugal to participate in this research project. 

Take part in the Portuguese Disabled Fans Survey 

We want to hear from match-going disabled fans to gain a better insight into your matchday experiences at stadiums throughout Portugal.

We also encourage disabled people who wish to become match-going supporters to share details of their experiences around the existing barriers that prevent you from attending live matches.

Both organisations working on this research project welcomes responses from differently disabled people across Portugal, which will help us in working towards a game that is accessible, inclusive, and welcoming to all. 

The Portuguese Disabled Fans Survey consists of four sections and should take approximately 15 minutes to complete. An alternative Word document version of the survey is also available.

The survey will be open and available for completion until 18:00 CET on Friday, 14 May 2021. A detailed report on the findings will be published later in the year.
