CAFE is looking to appoint locally-based disabled football fans to become CAFE accessibility monitors at this season’s UEFA Europa League Final in Dublin to evaluate accessible services, facilities and amenities in place for disabled spectators.

We are looking to recruit a wheelchair user and a disabled person (who does not use a wheelchair but requires easy access seating or to be located close to accessible amenities and facilities), to attend the Final, which is being played at the Dublin Arena, Dublin, Ireland on Wednesday 22 May 2024.

CAFE is looking for applications from differently disabled people, who are passionate about accessibility, and can draw upon their personal experience to provide us with detailed user-led feedback on the accessible services, facilities, and amenities available at the Final.

Apply to become a CAFE accessibility monitor at the UEFA Europa League Final 2024.

If necessary, a complimentary companion ticket and accessible parking permit (subject to availability) will be provided to all Accessibility Monitors.

Successful applicants will need to submit valid proof of eligibility to CAFE. Valid proofs of eligibility for Irish-based applicants include:

  • Recently dated a disability benefit award letter (showing the award of the benefit for the year 2024) from the Department of Social Protection;
  • Both sides of a disabled person’s parking card showing cardholders name and validity date
  • Signed and recently dated doctors / hospital letter stating access requirements / need for accessibility tickets.

A short online training for accessibility monitors will be provided by CAFE (either by Zoom or Microsoft Teams).

Applicants must be available to attend the UEFA Europa League Final on Wednesday 22 May, kicking off at 20:00 local time.

Chosen Accessibility Monitors must complete a CAFE Evaluation report and submit this alongside any photos and videos within 48 hours of the final whistle. Accessibility monitors must also be available to clarify responses and provide any additional information up to 48 hours after the end of the match.

CAFE will share all reports and any supplementary evidence with UEFA and the host venue, so that any areas of concern can be highlighted.

CAFE and UEFA hope that feedback received from our Accessibility Monitors will encourage long-term and sustainable improvements for locally based disabled spectators as a legacy of hosting the UEFA Europa League Final.

The CAFE Accessibility Monitor Programme information pack provides more information on the objectives and responsibilities of the role.

To apply, please complete our online form. Alternative formats are available upon request.

Please then email your proof of eligibility to [email protected]. Please ensure that your full name and “UEFA Europa League Final – Dublin” is stated in the subject line of your email.

Please note: Without receiving valid proof of eligibility, your application can not be considered.
