This month, CAFE Managing Director Joyce Cook travelled to Warsaw, Poland, to speak at the Stadium Business Design & Development Summit 2012.

Delegates from 26 countries convened in Poland for the launch event; hosted at Warsaw’s Hilton Hotel and featuring expert stadium tours of Legia Warsaw’s Pepsi Arena and Poland’s National Stadium in addition to a world-leading conference programme.

At the summit, Joyce launched the UEFA and CAFE Good Practice Guide - 'Access For All', and advised the stadium community on how best to design and deliver accessible and inclusive and welcoming stadium matchday experiences.

Joyce also stressed that stadium managers and operators should not just see accessiblity as a social responsibility but as a sound commercial strategy. Investing in making a stadium more accessible is not costly, and it means that many more fans will be able to attend matches.
