Getting to the stadium

Train: Amsterdam Centraal is the city’s main railway station and is located approximately 12km from the stadium.

Amsterdam Centraal station is fully accessible, with services and facilities in place for disabled passengers, and assistance with boarding and alighting is available. More information on the accessibility at Amsterdam Centraal station can be found on the dedicated station page on the NS website.

Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS) are the national train providers in the Netherlands. For further information on the accessibility of trains and how to book assistance with boarding and alighting, please visit the NS website.

Amsterdam Bijlmer Arena station is the nearest train station to the arena. Services from Amsterdam Schiphol airport, Amsterdam Centraal and Amsterdam South stations.

Amsterdam Bijlmer Arena station is located approximately a five-minute walk away. The station is accessible for disabled passengers, including lifts and tactile paving. Bus: All buses in Amsterdam are accessible, with most bus stops also being accessible for use by disabled passengers.

Bus routes 44, 47, 49, 66, 171, 300, 356 all go to the stadium from Amsterdam city centre. Please note: that road closures in place may affect where buses are able to stop on matchdays.

Air: Amsterdam Schiphol airport is approximately 13km from the city and served by regional flights from across the Netherlands and international flights from cities across Europe. 

The airport is fully accessible for disabled passengers, with lifts, accessible toilets and ramps located throughout the airport.

Metro: 

All metros in Amsterdam are accessible with most metro stops also being accessible for use by disabled passengers.

If your entrance point at the stadium is 1 or 2, disabled spectators can take metro line 50 or 54 to either Station Duivendrecht or Station Strandvliet. From Station Duivendrecht, the stadium is around a 10-minute walk via Stationsplein. From Station Standvliet, the stadium is less than a five minute walk via De Loper.

If your entrance point is 3, 4 or 5, disabled spectators can take metro line 50 or 54 to Station Amsterdam Bijlmer Arena. From here, the stadium is approximately a five-minute walk via Johan Cruijff Boulevard.

Tram: Newer style trams are accessible for wheelchairs users. Older style trams have one door without stepped access, but no designated wheelchair user space. A lot of tram stops are accessible, but there are several that are not suitable for disabled passengers to use.

Accessible parking and drop-off/pick-up points

There is accessible parking at the stadium.

Parking permits must be ordered prior to the game.  These permits are valid for 2.5 hours before the game, until 3 hours after the game.  The printed parking permit and the European disability parking card must be displayed together.  There are several options for accessible parking around the stadium.

  • P1 ArenA (directly under the stadium)
  • P-Dome (next to the stadium) 
  • P4 (closest parking lot in P-other) 
  • P-other (P2, P3, P5 to P24)

Start of parking permit sales
Sales of parking permits for weekend matches start on the Friday of the week before the game at 10:00 CET.  For midweek games, parking permit sales begin exactly one week before the match.  On the first day of parking permit sales, disabled season ticket and club card holders can purchase a parking permit.  European disability parking card holders who are not disabled season ticket or club card holders may purchase a parking permit.

Ticketing

A ticketing account must be created online, before matchday tickets can be purchased. Once you have an account set up, you must email both sides of your European-style blue parking pass to [email protected]

If you do not have a parking pass, proof of receiving disability benefit or a letter stating details of your condition / access requirements from your doctor or consultant will be acceptable.

Once you have uploaded your proof, you will be able to purchase tickets via AFC Ajax's website.

Entering the stadium

Disabled supporters who wish to use lifts to enter the stadium can do so by entering the stadium via entrance B (north side) or entrance H (south side). The accessible entrances are located in the P1 ArenA.  Two lifts are located at each of the entrances. The accessible entrances and lifts are open 90 minutes ahead of kick-off. Please be aware that disabled spectators may encounter a short of period of waiting to access the lifts due to the number of fans needing to use the lifts.

Disabled supporters sitting in sections 016, 812 and 816 should use entrance B (north side). Disabled supporters with tickets for sections 825 and 829 should enter via entrance H (south side).

Spectator viewing areas

Wheelchair User spaces: 145, throughout the stadium.

At pitch-level, sightlines are obstructed.

North and South first ring levels have good sightlines, sheltered seats and no obstructed views.

Other areas: There are an additional 80 spaces for other differently disabled supporters.


Accessible concessions

There are no accessible refreshment kiosks.


Accessible toilets

There are accessible toilets available. All have level access, with grab rails and sufficient space for a wheelchair user.
