To reflect the current situation and to provide greater flexibility to supporters, UEFA have made some changes to their tickets terms and conditions, refund policy and privacy notification for UEFA EURO 2020 ticket holders.

UEFA EURO 2020 will kick off on 11 June 2021, with matches scheduled to be played across 12 host venues around Europe.

Ticketholders should already have received information relating to changes to the terms and conditions, refund policy and privacy notification, but information is also available online outlining the latest conditions.

Changes to the terms and conditions include:

  • in the event that a ticket holder (main applicant or guest) is unable to attend the relevant match for medical reasons (including but not limited to medical reasons in the context of COVID-19), the main applicant is entitled to transfer such ticket to a friend or family member. The personal details of the new ticket holder must be provided before the match (art. 7.3);

  • to access the stadium, spectators must comply with entry requirements and/or acknowledgements (including any epidemiological acknowledgements, if required) in the context of COVID-19, as notified to them by UEFA (art. 12.1);

  • to enter the host territory, ticket holders must comply with any requirements which are in place regarding entry (including but not limited to any travel and entry requirements imposed under applicable laws and/or otherwise in the context of COVID-19) (art. 12.1)

More information on the changes can be found online via the UEFA Changes to the Terms & Conditions, Refund Policy and Privacy Notification.

The updated ticket refund policy now covers situations where stadium capacity may be reduced, or matches played behind closed doors, should local regulations so require.

Supporters who are no longer able to attend matches they have purchased tickets for, or do not agree with the changes to the policy, can apply for refunds via the UEFA EURO 2020 ticketing portal, until 1400 CET on 26 January 2021.

Refunds will be processed by the end of February 2021.

To support ticket holders who wish to apply for refunds, CAFE has created a short 'How-to' guide detailing each step of the process.

Though the tournament is expected to go ahead as planned across the 12 host venues, it is possible that a fixture may need to be moved to a different stadium due to local pandemic restrictions. In the event that a UEFA EURO 2020 match is moved to a venue which is more than 50km away from the original venue, ticket buyers would be entitled to a full refund of the ticket price if they cannot, or do not wish to, attend.
