FC Barcelona, a long time supporter of the CAFE Week of Action, joined us once again this season to celebrate Total Football #TotalAccess

The CAFE Week of Action was first celebrated in 2013, where it was established as a legacy of UEFA EURO 2012 in Poland and Ukraine. Since 2016, the initiative has spread across Europe and beyond.

We were delighted to be joined once again this season by FC Barcelona, who have also held activities to celebrate the two previous CAFE Week of Action campaigns.

Jochen Kemmer with Emili Rousaud and Jordi Cardoner

DAO Project Manager Jochen Kemmer was invited to attend the recent match at Camp Nou between FC Barcelona and Rayo Vallecano, where he met with the club's first vice president, Jordi Cardoner, and the manager responsible for the Specialised Attention Office, Emili Rousaud.

A statement of support for the CAFE Week of Action was read over the stadium speakers, outlining the club's commitment to a game that is accessible, inclusive and welcoming for all.

The club also organised a pre-match ceremony to celebrate Total Football #TotalAccess, with Lionel Messi and his teammates joining the match player escorts and disabled fans for a photo with a CAFE Week of Action banner.

This activity provided global mainstream attention to the CAFE Week of Action, and gave great exposure to the topic.

We would like to thank FC Barcelona for their continued support and commitment to #TotalAccess, and we look forward to working together for many years to come!
