Getting to the stadium

Train: The biggest station is Santa Apolonia. It has many connections to many of Europe's biggest cities.

The station is completley accessible for wheelchair users, and a customer helpline is available by tel. +351707201280.

Bus: According to operator Carris, 88% of Lisbon buses have a low floor between the front entrance and rear-exist doors, and 50% have acccessible spaces for wheelchair users and an access ramp.

Routes 701, 703, 705, 716, 720, 726, 728, 729, 730, 735, 736, 744, 747, 755, 756, 767, 770, 778, 779, 781, 782, 783, 794 and 798 use accessible vehicles. Route 728 is only partially accessible.

Carris also has a door-to-door service available for disabled passengers and a companion. Each vehicle has space for 5 wheelchair users and 5 companions, with an electric lift. Services run between 06.30 and 21.30 on weekdays, and weekend services run from 08.00 to 12.00 and 14.00 to 18.00.

The service is the same price as a usual journey. To apply passengers must present ‘proof of disability’ to Santo Amaro station, along with a recent photograph and ID card. Trips must be reserved at least 2 days in advance and the passenger has to confirm their intention to travel the day before. For further information, contact Carris on +351 213 613 141 or visit http://www.carris.pt/en/reduced-mobility/.

Air: The main airport is Lisbon Portela Airport, with many international connections.

The route through the terminal is accessible.

MyWay (a disabled assistance organisation) desks can be found in both terminals. Passengers who require assistance should book this through their airline or agent at least 48 hours prior to departure.

For a map of the airport, see the Aeroportos de Portugal website.

Metro/Tram: 31 of the 52 metro stations in Lisbon are fully accessible for disabled passengers. Accessible ticket barriers are in place at every station.

A customer support centre can be contacted by tel. +351213500115.

Trams are largely inaccessible for disabled passenges.
