Disabled supporters have enjoyed attending matches at UEFA Women’s EURO 2013.

UEFA Women’s EURO 2013, which is being played in Sweden, kicked off on Wednesday 10th July. The final whistle will be blown on Sunday 28th July at the Friends Arena in Solna, Stockholm.

This photo shows former player and tournament Ambassador Steffi Jones with a young disabled supporter in Gothenburg. They had met in the official Fan Zone, and Steffi promised to give the young fan the football once they had arrived at the stadium.

Fellow tournament Ambassador Patrik Andersson also shared his football with a disabled supporter he had met in the Fan Zone.

Steffi and Patrik were in the Fan Zone to promote the ‘Make A Healthy Heart Your Goal’ campaign - the official community health education programme of UEFA Women's EURO 2013. The programme encourages women and girls to lead an active lifestyle and participate in sports such as football to help reduce the risk of heart disease and strokes.

It is great to see disabled supporters enjoying the tournament!
