Scottish club Celtic FC has announced that they have created an additional 29 spaces for wheelchair users at Celtic Park.

The spaces, located in an elevated position in the North West quadrant of the stadium, will be open to disabled fans from the 2nd February 2014, when Celtic face St Mirren. An accompanying 29 seats for Personal Assistants have also been installed by the club.

CAFE Managing Director Joyce Cook said, “It is always great to see a major European club proactively seeking to improve the accessible facilities and services available at their stadium for its disabled fans. Everyone at CAFE congratulates Celtic on this positive step, and we are very sure that disabled fans visiting the stadium will enjoy the match from these new spaces”.
