On February 27, 2014 CAFE Project Coordinator in Ukraine Oleksandr Ostapa had a meeting with Oleksandr Riznichenko, the Director of the Obolon Arena in Kiev.

FC Obolon-Brovar plays in the Second football League of Ukraine, and was recently a Premier League of Ukraine side. The club has received a new stadium, in the Obolon district of the capital.

Despite the fact that now the team is playing in the second division, the stadium continues to operate as usual. Stadium director said that all employees of the arena are always ready to meet the club’s disabled fans, and there are dedicated places in one of the stands for disabled fans. All entrances on the sector are equipped with ramps, and an underground car park provides space for cars of disabled supporters.

The Director of the stadium and the club press officer Sergei Gusentsev agreed to promote the creation of a Disabled Supporters Association of FC Obolon-Brovar.

CAFE also made an access appraisal of the Obolon Arena.

CAFE presented to the Director of Obolon Arena a copy of “Access for All” - the UEFA and CAFE Good Practice Guide to Creating an Accessible Stadium and Matchday Experience (available on our website in 13 languages).
