To support disabled fans and their groups in celebrating access and inclusion, CAFE has launched the CAFE Week of Action small grants programme.

Since 2013, the CAFE Week of Action has spread the message of Total Football #TotalAccess across Europe and beyond. The CAFE Week of Action is football’s largest initiative aimed at promoting the varying roles that disabled people can play at all levels across the entire game.

Last season’s campaign was the largest to date, with a record-breaking 36 participating countries. You can find out more about the 2019 campaign by downloading the summary report here.

Following feedback from disabled fans and disabled supporters associations (DSAs), CAFE has introduced the small grants programme to help fans to take part in the CAFE Week of Action.

The CAFE Week of Action small grants programme offers funding to disabled supporters and DSAs to participate in the CAFE Week of Action. Grants of up to €250 are available, subject to a successful application to CAFE.

You can apply for a CAFE Week of Action small grant by completing the application form here.

CAFE Media and Communications Manager Michael Rice said, “The small grants programme offers disabled fans and DSAs the opportunity to join us in celebrating Total Football #TotalAccess, and to create a legacy at their clubs of improved access and inclusion. Whether you have already taken part in a CAFE Week of Action or not, this is the perfect opportunity to get involved and we invite you to submit your applications as soon as possible!”.

Whilst the CAFE Week of Action small grants programme is targeted primarily at disabled supporters and DSAs, consideration will be given (should any grant funding remain) where clubs would require financial support in taking part in the CAFE Week of Action.

CAFE Week of Action small grants will not be available to national associations or larger clubs, though we encourage such stakeholders to join us in celebrating Total Football #TotalAccess during the campaign.

CAFE has also published a disabled supporters information pack with suggestions on how you can get involved in celebrating the CAFE Week of Action. To download, please click here.

If you have any questions regarding the CAFE Week of Action small grants programme, or wish to discuss your applications further, please email CAFE Media and Communications Manager Michael Rice at [email protected], or call +44 (0)208 065 5108.
