The Boris Paichadze Dinamo Arena in Tbilisi recently made a number of improvements to enhance the matchday experience of disabled fans, ahead of hosting the UEFA Super Cup 2015.

The match itself will be remembered as one of the most thrilling games in recent times, however the positive actions taken off the field are the first steps towards an exciting future for disabled fans.

For the match, a dedicated Disability Access Officer was appointed and disabled fans were provided with her contact details in advance. This meant that disabled fans had a clear, identified reference point and could address any queries or issues to the appropriate person.

The accessible seating area inside the stadium was improved, with new ramped access via the running track. This area was also made into a flat and level surface, making it much easier to navigate.

It is great to see progress is being made at the stadium around the UEFA Super Cup, and we look forward to working with local partners in Georgia to continue to improve access for disabled fans.
