Union Berlin fan Sascha Koschitzke has completed his 500km walk to Nurnberg, raising more than €12,000 for his club's disabled fans along the route.

Last month, CAFE reported how Sascha was walking from Berlin to Nurnberg in honour of Janine Jänicke, the former Disability Access Officer of Union Berlin who recently passed away following a motorcycle accident.

Sascha invited people to sponsor each stage of his journey, which culminated in attending Union Berlin's match in Nurnberg on Saturday.

Union Berlin lost the match 2-0 but the real winner was Sascha, who by kick-off had raised €12,110.85 for his club's disabled fans.

All sponsorship money raised will pay for a trip to an away match for some of Union Berlin's disabled fans.

Congratulations Sascha on a fantastic achievement!
