Klub Kibicow Niepelnosprawnych (KKN) is one of Europe’s biggest disabled supporters associations (DSA), based at Polish club Slask Wrocław.

Since their creation in 2008, KKN regularly organises trips for their disabled fans to attend away matches. The club often has over 200 disabled supporters attending home games at the Stadion Śląska Wrocław.

Back in April 2015, Slask Wrocław and KKN made headlines when a record number of disabled fans attended a match against Lechia Gdansk. That day at least 1005 disabled fans and their companions came to the stadium, breaking a Polish record and demonstrating the power of Total Football #TotalAccess.

Last month, KKN were looking to challenge their own record at a match against Piast Gliwice. At the match, one in every twelve fans was a disabled fan.

KKN worked with a number of organisations and stakeholders to promote the event, and encourage as many disabled people as possible to attend the match. This included welcoming disabled children from local schools and residents of local care homes to the stadium.

With 8533 in attendance at the match, approximately 750 people were disabled fans and around 300 people were companions.

This a fantastic achievement, and CAFE congratulates KKN and Slask Wrocław for their many continued successes.
