On the 25th of July 2013 a meeting took place between non-governmental organisations of Dnipropetrovsk and representatives of FC Dnipro at the Dnipro Arena stadium.

With support from CAFE the organisations present created and approved a step-by-step plan of improving comfort and accessibility for disabled people at Dnipro Arena stadium.

It is good to know that the club representatives are willing to take some actions to improve the matchday experience for disabled supporters.

The representatives of the City Council were also present at the meeting and they promised to try to solve the problem with transportation for disabled people on matchdays.

Before the meeting there were two weeks of preliminary negotiations and a struggle of discussions and legal norms. The club representatives received a printed version of UN Convention about disabled people’s rights.

It was agreed that during the next few months the matchday experience of disabled supporters would be improved.

It was a positive meeting with the representatives of the non-governmental organisations, my colleagues and the fruitful cooperation with CAFE.
