27 March 2021 will see people across the globe switching off their lights for one hour to take part in Earth Hour.

Between 20:30 - 21:30 local time you are encouraged to switch off your lights, in an action to shine a metaphorical spotlight on the topic of climate change.

Over the years, the lights-off moment has seen entire streets, buildings, landmarks, and city skylines go dark - an unmissable sight that drew public attention to nature loss and the climate crisis.

Joining Earth Hour’s switch off reminds us that even small actions can make a big difference.

2021 is the start of an important decade for climate and nature action. This year, leaders from across the world will make decisions that will impact our futures.

By 2030, nature and wildlife could be recovering all around us. We could have green jobs, cleaner air and a healthier future for the next generation.

This year, our friends at WWF have published guidance for people keen to reduce their environmental footprint. With the Footprint Calculator, you can find out what impact your lifestyle has on our planet.

CAFE has published our climate commitment, outlining how we are developing the way we work to become more conscious of the impact we have on the environment. CAFE is committed to reducing our footprint, and have pledged to offset unavoidable greenhouse gas emissions in relation to events and travel.

We hope that you can join us in marking Earth Hour 2021, and we encourage you to follow the actions across the globe using the hashtag #EarthHour.
