The CAFE team is delighted to publish the CAFE Week of Action 2018 summary report.

Since 2013, CAFE has invited stakeholders from across the game to celebrate access and inclusion within European football.

Initially launched as part of CAFE’s UEFA EURO 2012 legacy works in Poland and Ukraine, the CAFE Week of Action has grown year-on-year with activities were held in a record 25 countries in 2018.

Highlights from the 2018 initiative included:

-              A high-profile half time ceremony celebrating Total Football Total Access hosted by FC Barcelona and broadcast worldwide;

-              An event held by Dinamo Zagreb inviting 25 learning disabled fans to experience a match from the Presidential suite and meet their favourite players;

-              Scottish champions Celtic FC wearing CAFE-branded t-shirts ahead of a Scottish Cup Quarter Final match;

-              Activities right across Russia, with over 20 Russian clubs getting involved

CAFE Media and Communications Manager Michael Rice said, “It has been a real pleasure to see so many of football’s stakeholders come together in the name of Total Football Total Access”.

“We have enjoyed some extraordinary initiatives with great reach during the CAFE Week of Action 2018. In particular, our interviews with disabled fans across Europe have further highlighted the importance of a game that is accessible, inclusive and welcoming for all”, added Michael.
