On 14-17th of December, CAFE’s partner, National Assembly of Disabled People in Ukraine – held a 4 day forum for disabled young people. 

Elena Karpukhina, CAFE’s Eastern European Development Officer, was invited to give a presentation about CAFE and its activities. It was a fantastic opportunity to speak in front of such an audience – more than 150 young, other active and enthusiastic disabled people. With their help CAFE hopes to expand its presence in the Ukraine and get more people involved in CAFE’s activities on voluntary basis.

The first feedback after the forum is more than positive. Young people from all over Ukraine have shown their interest in setting up local groups of disabled supporters attached to their football clubs. We hope to see first results of these initiatives in the nearest future.
