The CAFE team recently travelled to Brussels to discuss access and inclusion with the Royal Belgian Football Association (KBVB), Inside and disabled fans from a number of Belgian clubs.

Media and Communications Manager Michael Rice and Fans Liaison Officer Amy Wilson presented some of CAFE's projects and works, including the CAFE Week of Action and stadium access appraisals.

The KBVB, represented by An de Kock, also led a discussion on their works around accessibility and wider inclusion for disabled people across the game.

Disabled fans and representatives of many of Belgium's biggest clubs were present at the meeting, including Anderlecht, Club Brugge and KAA Gent amongst others.

Stijn van Bever of the Belgian Pro League also attended the meeting and provided an update on their works.

Inside's Thomas Desmet led the meeting, which included a discussion on disabled fans experiences at different stadiums across Belgium. Inside works with disabeld fans and the KBVB to ensure a welcoming experience at matches in Belgium, including at the national King Baudouin Stadium.

Inside's role includes providing accessibility volunteers at national team matches and coordinating audio-descriptive commentary at a number of Belgian clubs.

CAFE's Michael Rice said, "It was a great pleasure to attend this meeting and to discuss the current situation in Belgium with many new and familiar faces. We look forward to working closely with the KBVB, the Pro League and Inside going forwards to ensure disabled fans continue to enjoy access improvements across Belgian football".
