CAFE Project Co-ordinator in Poland, Weronika Paszewska, visited Górnik Łęczna last week, meeting with disabled supporters of Górnik Łęczna and representatives of Supporting Hands Foundation.

The visit was aimed at gathering information on the accessible facilities available at the stadium, training staff members and security personnel and arranging a meeting with disabled supporters of Górnik Łęczna. Representatives of the club received copies of the “Access for All” – UEFA and CAFE good practice guide to creating an accessible stadium and match day experience, and employees of the club and the security services have completed disability awareness training.

Weronika said “The meeting was very fruitful, and we look forward to further co-operation between Górnik Łęczna and CAFE”.  There are hopes that a group of supporters present at the meeting will start the process towards the creation of the Górnik Łęczna Disabled Supporters Association (DSA).

On 31st October Łęczna will host an exhibition on the work of CAFE.
