CAFE Managing Director Joyce Cook has been named as one of the 50 most influential women in sport by a UK newspaper.

The Independent on Sunday published their first list, acknowledging some of sport's most successful and influential women. The list included players, administrators, lawyers, agents, politicians, campaigners, designers, sportswriters and broadcasters.

Joyce's inclusion in the list is in recognition of her work in campaigning for greater equality and improved access for disabled people. In addition to her role at CAFE, Joyce is also the Chair of Level Playing Field, a member of the Football Association's Inclusivity Advisory Board, a board member of Fare and Director of Women in Football, a UK network of professional women working in and around the football industry who support and champion their peers and aim to improve women's representation at all levels of the game.

Joyce was also awarded an OBE in the Queen's New Years Honours List for her services to disabled football supporters in 2012.
