Personal Assistant (Support Worker) to Managing Director

 

Salary:  Negotiable – Part-Time position, Chester based

 

The Centre for Access to Football in Europe (CAFE) is currently seeking a part-time Personal Assistant to the Managing Director. 

 

The successful candidate will report directly to the Managing Director and will be prepared to work (part-time and) as required to assist the Managing Director (who is a wheelchair user) with foreign travel and flights including some occasional evening and weekend work. This support will include being able to provide wheelchair assistance at airports, at hotels, various meetings and generally during periods of travel. No personal care is required but the successful candidate must be able to assist the MD in getting around (in the wheelchair) and with managing luggage, etc. Additionally, the role will include booking journey assistance, making travel arrangements and similar duties.

 

The candidate should be able to fulfil the physical requirements of this role as a support worker/PA and should also have good English and PC skills and be familiar with using the internet and booking foreign travel. Ability to speak other languages will be an advantage but is not essential.

 

The successful candidate will require a valid passport and any visas that might be required to travel across Europe. All travel, including hotel accommodation (own room) and meals will be provided during trips abroad. The working schedule will require some degree of flexibility but it is not expected that the role will usually involve more than 2 trips (4-6 days each) per month with some days based in the Chester office to arrange travel.
