CAFE named official charity of 2013 UEFA Super Cup charity ticket auction

UEFA launched a charity ticket sale auction for the 2013 UEFA Super Cup between the UEFA Champions League winners, FC Bayern München, and the UEFA Europa League winners, Chelsea FC, at the Eden Stadium in Prague on Friday 30 August at 20.45CET.


UEFA organised a ticket charity auction in which the highest bidding participants win tickets for the UEFA Super Cup. 


UEFA will donate all raised funds to CAFE, to help to improve the matchday experience of disabled football supporters across Europe.


David Bernstein, CAFE Chairman says “We are delighted to have been nominated by UEFA as the recipients of the Super Cup 2013 charity ticket auction. On behalf of everyone at CAFE, I wish to warmly thank UEFA for its unwavering commitment to our critical works. The charitable funds raised will be used to further progress our projects towards creating an inclusive matchday experience for all European disabled fans.”


The bidding and registration period ran from 29 July 12.00 CET until 7 August 12.00 CET. Tickets that were available for the auction were category 1 with a minimum bid of 130€ per ticket and each person could bid for a maximum of four tickets.


Participants will be informed by 12 August if they have been successful.
