Match: Crusaders v Heart of Midlothian

This game was played at the Oval the home of Glentoran F.C. I had visited the ground in the past on behalf of CAFE and this was the first time I had seen the new wheelchair user viewing area which was officially opened in 03.12.11. It is difficult to make structural changes to very old traditional stadiums however considering the way the main stand has been built the Glentoran DSA have done well considering

At present there are no covered shelters for disabled fans at Glentoran FC (Oval Stadium, Belfast), we are in the process of fundraising to provide this as a way of illeviating financial pressure at Glentoran FC. We are also just setting up a new Disabled Supporters Group called ''Glentoran Disabled Supporters'' and details can be found on our website URL of which is http://www.glentorandisabledsupporters.com

29th September I popped into Glentoran F.C. who have the largest however perhaps oldest facilities out with Windsor Park. Parking is in the stadium confines and an enclosed wheelchair area is close by.
