Disabled fans, like all other fans, want to watch live football in an accessible and welcoming environment AND with their own set of supporters. It is unacceptable to carry disabled people to their seats, and there is no justifiable reason why disabled fans should have to choose between the humiliation of being lifted up and carried to upper rows by others or having to watch the match away from their fellow fans.

Best practice would be to provide a sufficient number of accessible seating areas with good views for disabled fans, available in both home and away sections for the respective sets of fans. There are a number of smart and low-cost solutions that have been put in place at number of stadiums and some examples are outlined in Access for All – the UEFA and CAFE Good Practice Guide to Creating an Accessible Stadium and Matchday Experience.

CAFE is proud to be working with GKS Katowice and their newly-formed disabled supporters association and with other DSAs in the country, to help make positive, long-term improvements that allow both home and away disabled fans to enjoy an inclusive match day experience.

As for the team I will say that we have been accepted without any resistance great care that the part of the organizers overprotective and for that we really wanted to thank the management and leadership of the GKS Katowice for the wonderful hospitality. In general, the stadium is designed for people in wheelchairs but is worse in terms of sanitary sector because the visitors are only toitoje. Visibility for wheelchair users a little bad but it can be oglądnoć game. but overall aggregating hospitality and atmosphere at a high level.

In fact, from level 0 guests sector do not see too much. If it is possible, using efficient fans can settle on siedzonkach at the top or directly on a platform of metalowek grille (no concrete, no humidity). Good view and the atmosphere of the common doping with a group of fans przyjednych not be overestimated. Very nice and willing to help protect and stewards.
