SK Lierse working with Roller Boys

CAFE Western European Development Officer Keith Ferguson recently visited Lierse S.K. in Belgium, where he met with the club’s Community Manager Kristin van Hest. Kristin and Keith found out that a disabled supporters group called Roller Boys had been operating quietly in the background, and arranged to meet with them.
Keith spent time with Bert van Dyck, who manages the group. It was agreed that from now on the club and Roller Boys will work closely together to actively improve the accessible facilities in Lierse’s home stadium, the Herman Vanderpoortenstadion.
The meeting, held in the club’s new modern hospitality suite, was very successful and Bert has expressed an interest in becoming involved with Belgium’s newly-formed national Disabled Supporters Association. We congratulate Roller Boys on this and wish them the very best of luck!
