AFC Ajax welcome CAFE at the Amsterdam Arena

19 April 2011

I recently visited the home of AFC Ajax and was shown around the facilities available for disabled fans.

Whilst there I met with various people involved in the club and as pictured below.

From left: Ineke Gielen, Bjorn Martens, Keith Ferguson and Dennis Bliek

From left to right :

- Ineke Gielen who works in Public Relations/MVO for the Ajax Foundation (see http://twitter.com/AjaxFoundation for more information on the foundation)
- Bjorn Martens who heads up the "Supportersvereniging Ajax" (see www.ajaxlife.nl )
- Dennis Bliek who represents the disabled season ticket fans as part of a group which meets regularly with Ineke to discuss stadium issues.

We discussed many subjects in a positive manner including the idea of forming a disabled supporters association for Ajax fans and the possibility of them joining up with other fans in the near future to form a new Dutch national DSA.

Keith Ferguson,
