SCOTTISH DISABLED SUPPORTERS ASSOCIATION AND CAFE MEET WITH S.F.A. CHIEF EXECUTIVE

11 March 2011

From Left Gary Cleland (interim chairman SDSA), Sandy Riach (interim vice chairman), Keith Ferguson and Stewart Regan (SFA Chair Executive)

Myself, Gary Cleland (interim chairman SDSA) and Sandy Riach (interim vice chairman) met with Stewart Regan at the S. F. A. offices in the National Stadium in Glasgow. The meeting went very well with many issues debated in a positive manner.

Topics discussed included club licencing and working together to try to raise the bar on the standard of accessible facilities in Scottish football stadiums. In addition thoughts were shared on disabled ticket allocation for Scotland home matches and the very important issue regarding the changes to the National Stadium for the up and coming Commonwealth Games to be held in Glasgow as this will have an impact on the current accessible areas.

Stewart suggested holding a follow up meeting with himself and other key S.F.A. stakeholders to look at the issues raised in more detail. This offer of further discussion was warmly welcomed by the SDSA representatives who look forward to building on the good relationship established at this initial meeting.
