Preparation for the European Football Championship in 2012 will offer more jobs for disabled people in Ukraine, said Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Sergiy Tigipko.
He made a point that special attention needs to be paid to social inclusion and employment of disabled people.
‘When a person works, he/she feels responsible for his/her work and is included into social life. There are 2.6 million disabled people in Ukraine, a quarter of them is employed. The government will make their best to make disabled people feel comfortable in everyday life and work’ – said Tigipko.
Special working groups will be created to revise legislation concerning disabled people and develop a plan of their social inclusion and employment.
