International fan experts from the FSE Fans’ Embassy division and fans from the host cities in Poland and Ukraine discussed common strategies for successful fan hosting at the upcoming EURO 2012.

In four workshops and a panel discussion the conference participants learned about the latest developments concerning EURO 2012 and exchanged know-how with international experts.

CAFE participated in the workshop Fans – Rolls & Perspectives at UEFA EURO 2012™ and spoke on behalf of disabled fans across Europe about the existing problems in the context of preparation to the tournament. A special focus on good practice solutions was included to ensure that EURO 2012 will be able to welcome the full diversity of football fans. The presentation by CAFE was well received and the ideas gained support from officials responsible for preparation to EURO 2012 in both countries. The Fans’ Embassies have promised that their facilities will be accessible and will include access information about the EURO 2012 host cities in co-operation with CAFE. This will help the many disabled fans planning to come to Poland and Ukraine for the tournament.

About Fans’ Embassies Fans' Embassy is the name that has been given to an advice, information and support service for football supporters, particularly those visiting a tournament abroad. The provision of Fans' Embassy services forms a very constructive and positive part of the hospitality programme at major football tournaments.
