England start their campaign against Spain on the opening day and with matches against Columbia, South Korea and Japan the team hope to qualify from their group through to the semi finals.

It is the first time that the championship has been held in England and as the event acts as a qualifier for the Paralympics in London 2012.

As well as the tournament itself, The FA and their partners have been working hard to create a lasting legacy from the event – including a raised awareness of issues around disability, the benefits of sport for all sectors of the community, and increased opportunities for participation. Schools, community groups, businesses and volunteers from across the West Midlands have been invited to take part in a number of sporting, educational and cultural events leading up to the tournament and recently the legacy team won the UEFA award for best disability grassroots programme in England.
