International Day of Persons with Disabilities
The CAFE team is proud to introduce you to our first newsletter! Feel free to share it with anyone who might be interested in our works.
Today we are also celebrating the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. This initiative is an opportunity to mobilize action, to achieve the goal of full and equal enjoyment of human rights and participation in society by persons with disabilities, established by the World Programme of Action concerning Disabled Persons, adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 1982. Visit the UN Enable website to find out more.

CEN Report - CAFE Information Note
The European Committee for Standardization (CEN) has published a technical report that outlines the minimum standards of facilities for disabled fans for stadia and other public venues. This important guidance was developed and ratified by a working party of representatives from across the 26 EU members.
This is a big step towards achieving equal access across Europe. CAFE was given special permission by CEN to create a summary Information Note replicating the key points of the report. The CEN Report and accompanying CAFE Information Note will ensure that everyone can share and adopt these important standards. Read more and download the document.
The CEN Report is published in English with translations currently being completed by each member country. The CAFE Information Note is available in French, German, Spanish and Portuguese.
