We are pleased to announce the appointment of CAFE’s new Administration Manager. Her name is Filipa do Carmo and she was born in Portugal.
She has been living in the UK for 3 years and before she joined CAFE, Filipa was working at Macmillan Cancer Support where she gained a wide knowledge about the not for profit sector and how charities can work to improve the lives of people.
At CAFE her responsibilities will include updating the website contents and making sure that we’re always on the case. So feel free to send her any news or stories you want to share with other European football supporters. She will also be supporting the European Development Officers expanding networks and campaigning for better access to football stadia in Europe. With her language skills in Portuguese, Spanish and French she’ll be the voice on the Helpline that will be operating soon.
Apart from her charity experience, Filipa has worked in film production before and in international film festivals, which will be quite useful when setting up the seminar CAFE plans to organise in 2011.
She is really keen to know more about existing disabled supporter associations and groups across Europe. So feel free to drop her a line (or two) introducing your organisation so that CAFE can work together with you to make live football 'A Place for Every Football Fan'!
